Why Your Tires Wear Fast

If your tire sidewall has large cracks running along the rim, it’s likely caused by impact or chronic underinflation. If you see what looks like a pimple in the sidewall, that’s known as a bulge. That happens when an impact causes internal damage, which appears weeks or months later. Does your tire have alternating hills and valleys? That’s called “cupping” or “scalloping”. You get those when you have worn or damaged suspension components or bad shock absorbers, which causes the tire to bounce as it travels.
